Old Man
10/10/2018: This is a historical hike on the edge of the Wonderland of Rocks leads to the Wall Street Mill. The mill was for gold mining. The hike itself is not much of a “wow” hike, thus the two hearts. It was still fun to see the history and also the site of a gun fight. The marker showing the location of the gunfight was erected by the winner and still stands. On the walk to Wall Street Mill, we saw a Monarch, a windmill that Marguerite liked a lot, the mill itself, some old me (cars). I love taking pictures of the old cars. They have character.
Monarch in Joshua Tree
Rod’s Ramblings from the Trail: Monarch in Joshua Tree. The Monarch Butterfly was one of the many simple, but integral pieces of the painting of my childhood that, if removed, would render the painting incomplete –without depth.
